After a Pause, the Rebranded TIARA Awards Will Be Back in 2021

Thank you for playing a dynamic role in the recruitment community in Japan.

The RI Awards has been an annual stand-out event for the recruitment industry for several years. However, in light of restrictions on travel and gatherings, it’s best to take a short pause. Japan’s recruitment event of the year will return in October 2021, with further details to be confirmed soon.

New Name, Same Iconic Trophy

Following its merger with TALiNT Partners, the RI Awards has been relaunched as the TALiNT International Annual Recruitment Awards (TIARAs).

“The legacy of the RI Awards lives on in its iconic trophy, which will remain the recruitment industry’s most coveted accolade,” said David Head, founder of Recruitment International and director of TALiNT Partners. “The TIARAs take our recruitment industry awards to another level of credibility and prestige, as we have already witnessed with our UK and UAE awards. Featuring an expanded judging panel, which includes award-winning in-house recruiters and leading advisers, has added an extra dimension to the Awards.

“As the recruitment industry evolves to support a diverse range of workforce models, the TIARAs are a national campaign run on a global scale that recognizes and rewards the achievements of those leading its transformation,” Head added. “Designed around our finalists, judges and sponsors, our Awards campaign will show the vital role of the recruitment industry in keeping the lifeblood of talent flowing through Japan.”

Winning Team

The Japan event will once again be delivered in partnership with Custom Media K.K., an award-winning bilingual, digital integrated marketing, content-creation and strategic communications agency in Tokyo. “It is truly exciting to see this brand and event continue to expand and develop internationally and within Japan,” said Garreth Stevens, consulting and sales manager at Custom Media.

“We know 2020 has already been a challenging year for the workforce, and the way that recruitment firms continue to innovate and respond to those challenges in the coming months is going to make for an even more competitive environment at-market and at the Awards,” Stevens added.

“It’s fitting then that Japan’s most recognizable recruitment awards return with a fresh look in 2021 to match.”
